How do I connect Apple Health?

Go to Settings in Downhill and turn on Apple Health, then allow access to body weight when iOS asks. Downhill syncs both ways: entries you log appear in Health, and weigh-ins from Health — including ones from a smart scale — appear in Downhill automatically. If it stops working, check iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Downhill and make sure weight is still allowed.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account everything stays on your iPhone. An account does one thing: it backs up your entries and syncs them to a new phone. You can start as a guest and add an account later without losing anything.

My verification code never arrived.

Codes come from codes@downhillweight.com — check your spam or junk folder first, and give it a minute or two. Codes expire quickly, so request a fresh one if you've been waiting. Still nothing? Email us and we'll sort it out.

What's the trend line, and why doesn't it match today's weight?

Your scale weight swings day to day with water, salt, and sleep — that's noise, not fat. The trend line is a 7-day smoothed average that shows where your weight is actually heading. It's normal for this morning's number to sit above or below the line; the line is the one worth watching.

I missed a day. Is my streak gone?

No — Downhill has streak protection, so a single missed day between logged days won't break your run. If mornings keep slipping past you, turn on the daily reminder in Settings.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Export entries. You get every entry as a CSV — dates, weights, tags, and notes — in a plain file you can open in any spreadsheet. There's a matching import, so your data is never locked in.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and everything synced to our servers. Data on your device stays until you delete the app. See the privacy policy for the full picture.

I got a new iPhone. How do I move my data?

If you have an account, install Downhill and sign in — your entries, photos, and goal come down automatically. No account? Your data lives only on the old phone, so restoring the new phone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one carries it over.

Do I have to pay again on a new device?

No. Downhill is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID. Download it again from the App Store on any of your devices and it's yours — the App Store won't charge you twice.
